Andrew Parkinson, B.Ed., MBA, FCSI
Consultant - Vancouver

Mr. Parkinson is a consultant in the securities industry, providing expertise to securities commissions, brokerage houses, custodians, transfer agents and mutual fund firms. Andrew has worked with a financial futures exchange and a merchant bank. He is also a Director of the Canadian Capital Markets Association (CCMA), representing the Investment Counsel Association of Canada. In the past, Mr. Parkinson was the president and compliance officer of a medium-sized investment management firm.

Mr. Parkinson is Vice-Chair of the International Financial Centre (IFC) Vancouver, a lobby group set up to encourage offshore financial activity to be transacted in British Columbia. He represented the B.C. Securities Commission (BCSC) on the G-30 Canadian Working Committee.

Mr. Parkinson is a Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute (FCSI), and holds an MBA (Finance) from City University Business School in London, England and a Bachelor of Education from the University of Calgary.
