Foran is the founder of Foran Financial Consultants Ltd. and
Foran Financial Institute. Mr. Foran has lectured extensively
on investments across North America, in London, England, and
other foreign centres. Ron has trained all levels of personnel
including CEOs, Presidents and Directors of securities firms
to pass required securities exams.
Mr. Foran has authored numerous articles and
publications and is the primary author of the Foran CFA®
Notes, based on CFA® Level I and CFA® Level II.
The Foran CFA® notes, which comprise over 1000 pages
of text and more than 1000 sample exam problems, have been
purchased by CFA® students in over 30 countries.
Mr. Foran has a passion for teaching and training,
and conducts regular seminars at Foran Financial Institute
to assist students to pass exams. Support seminars taught
by Ron include the Foran Partners', Directors' and Senior
Officers' Exam Preparation Seminar, the Foran CPH Exam Preparation
Seminar, the Foran Branch Manager and Options (for securities)
Exam Preparation Seminar, the Foran Canadian Securities
Exam Preparation Seminar, and the Foran Professional Financial
Planning - Exam One - Seminar. In addition Ron is the primary
instructor for the Foran CFA® Exam Preparation Seminar
series and workshops, which have been conducted in Toronto,
Vancouver and New York.
Prior to setting up Foran Financial in 1987,
Ron was a Senior Investment Advisor with Wood Gundy Inc.
and Merrill Lynch Canada Inc. for approximately 10 years.
