The Foran 3-day PDO^® Examination Preparation seminar would be of interest to individuals preparing to write the Canadian Securities Institute’s Partners, Directors and Senior Officers exam.

PDO Content Covered:

The Foran PDO Examination Preparation seminar covers content in the CSI Partners, Directors and Senior Officers course including: securities regulations and capital markets in Canada; business models in the Canadian investment industry including private client brokerage and online models including discount brokerage and online wealth management; the investment banking business including front office, middle office and back office activities; the distribution of securities including IPOs, secondary offerings and continuous and timely disclosure requirements; ethics; corporate governance issues; and directors and officers liability.

The Foran PDO Examination Preparation seminar also covers: concepts of risk management in the financial services industry including VAR and stress testing; managing risk in the securities industry in Canada including AMLTF measures and privacy protection and cyber-security issues; capital requirements at an investment dealer including liquidity, profitability and capital parameters; and consequences for an IA / dealer for non-compliance with legal, regulatory and CIRO requirements.

The Foran 3-day PDO Examination Preparation seminar includes: lectures; comprehensive study notes; and in-class handouts. Participants will also receive the Foran PDO Quiz Questions and Answers Book, which contains approximately 1000 quiz questions and answers.
