Important Note: Effective January 1, 2026 there will be significant changes in licensing requirements under CIRO rules. Courses and exams offered by the Canadian Securities Institute (CSI) will be accepted by CIRO for licensing purposes if you register for the applicable course with the CSI by December 31, 2025. You must then pass the required exam(s) by the end of 2026.
Commencing January 1,2026 new courses and applicable exams will be required by CIRO for licensing purposes. The student will be provided with a course syllabus for the new course and will then be required to do independent research to learn the material (no course text is provided).
If you are required to pass exams to get licensed with CIRO, we strongly recommend that you sign up for the existing CSI courses by December 31, 2025 to get licensed under the current rules.
