Foran’s 2-day Exempt Market Dealers Seminar will appeal to those who must satisfy National Instrument 31-103 proficiency requirements and are registered in the EMD course offered by IFSE.
This seminar is ideal for existing EMD registrants and people who are thinking about joining an EMD firm.
NOTE: The inception of National Instrument 31-103 now requires all “dealing representatives” of an EMD to satisfy proficiency requirements by September 28, 2010. Passing the EMD course offered by IFSE or the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) offered by CSI satisfies this requirement. Foran Financial Institute offers assistance to pass both courses.
This seminar also offers continuing education for investors or industry professionals that want to learn more about the EMD business and types of investments.
Content: This three-day program covers: the role of capital markets and the EMD industry; EMD regulations and compliance; principal protected notes; real estate investing; flow through shares; limited partnerships; hedge funds; and investor suitability. Participants will receive the Foran Quiz Book which contains approximately 500 questions and solutions.
